Coin Exchange Mela Organized in Lucknow

Coin melas were organized at several branches of ICICI bank in Lucknow where the general public exchanged their soiled and mutilated currency notes with fresh currency and coins, free of cost. The RBI was monitoring the entire event.The melas were held in Sarojini Nagar, Vikas Nagar, Sitapur Road, Aminabad, Gomti Nagar Extension, Faizabad Road, Naka Hindola, Chowk, Vibhuti Khand, Jankipuram, Vivek Khand, Indira Nagar, Nadan Mahal Road, Maha Nagar and Hazratganj.
These events are organized regularly by the bank, at various cities which always get a fabulous response. 600 people exchanged coins worth Rs. 6 lakhs in the denomination of Rs.10, Rs.5, Rs.2 and Re.1. Fresh currency worth Rs. 35 lakhs at these places in denominations of Rs 100, Rs 50, Rs 20 and Rs 10 were exchanged by the bank.
