The Bombay Presidency was a former province of British India. Bombay provinces were the administrative subdivision of the British India headquarters in the city of Bombay. From 1843 to 1936, the Bombay Presidency was also known by the name Sind. The Bombay Presidency was created when the city of Bombay was leased in fee tail to the East India Company by a Royal Charter from the King of England.The Mughal Emperor Alamgir II issued this gold mohur during his rule. The weight of this gold mohur is around 11.58g. On the obverse side, the coin depicts the name and title of Alamgir II. The reverse side of this coin depicts the mint name.
This gold mohur is listed for INR 110000 in the upcoming online auction of Oswal Antiques that will be held in Mumbai on February 19, 2022.
