Spain Banco de Espana 50 Pesetas

The banknotes of the Spanish peseta were emitted by the Bank of Spain in 1874–2001 until the introduction of the euro. The peseta was established as the basic unit of the Spanish monetary system by means of a Government Decree. Banco de Espana 50 Pesetas has been a star of a Heritage auction.

Designed and printed by Bradbury, Wilkinson & Company all denominations of this series are very rare today across all formats. This extra-large Specimen Proof has wide margins on both sides, along with holes punched cancellation and fictitious serial numbers. This 50 Peseta banknote has estimated selling prices starting at USD 10,000.
