Tatya Tope was a general in the Indian Rebellion of 1857 and one of the Indian noble. Tatya Tope did not have formal military training; he was the best and the most effective rebel general. Even with no formal military training, he was one of the effective fighters.Tatya Tope was a Maratha Brahmin; he was in the service of Peshwa general Baji Rao, adopted son Nana Sahib. Tatya Tope was born in 1814 CE to Pandurang Rao Tope and his wife Rukhmabai. Tantia Tope. In May 1857, Tantia Tope won the battle over the Indian troops of the East India Company at Kanpur. Rani Laxmi Bai of Jhansi was Tatya Tope’s childhood playmate.
