Mirza Asadullah Baig Khan is also known with pen name Ghalib and Asad, was an Indian poet, Popular with the name Mirza Galib. Mirza Galib was born in Kala Mahal into the family of Mughlas. They moved to Samarkand (into modern-day Uzbekistan) after the downfall of the Seljuk kings.

Mirza Galib wrote his verses in both Urdu and Persian Languages. He achieved immense fame in his poetry. Every person who is a fan of Urdu poetry loves Mirza Ghalib's poetry. Mirza Galib was one of the important poets in the court of Bahadur Shah Zafar II. In the Court of Bahadur Shah, Zafar II Galib was titled as ‘Dabber-ul-Mulk’ and ‘Najim-ud-Daulah’; this title helped Galib to enter in Nobility of Delhi. He suffixed his name with Mirza because of the title that the emperor added to his honor - Mirza Nosha. He was then called as Mirza Ghalib.
