This gold Punch marked coin of Chalukyas of Kalyani, issued in the name of ‘Ayyana Singa’ during the medieval period in India. This gold coin; was sold for INR 30,000 in an auction of Classical Numismatic Gallery held on 15th August 2021.The Chalukyas of Kalyani, also known as the Western Chalukya, was one of the powerful dynasties of the Deccan region around the 10th to 12th century CE. They came to the power after the fall of Chalukyas of Badami by Dantidurga. The parent branch of this dynasty was Badami Chalukya; they also share a link between their contemporary Eastern Chalukya and later Gujarat Chalukya.
