Kabir Das was the saint and poet of Indian during the 15th Century. His writing influences Hinduism’s Bhakti movement during the medieval period in India. The saint-poet Kabir is one of the most interesting personalities in the history of Indian mysticism.Kabir was born in the city of Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, during the early period of his life he was influenced by his teacher, Ramananda, a Hindu Bhakti leader. Kabir remained the student of Ramananda for years. As Kabir Das considered Ramananda as his mentor, but Ramananda never considered him as his disciple.
This commemorative stamp was issued by India to commemorate him and his work.
