Traikutakas Silver Drachm Listed For INR 40,000

This silver drachm weighs around 1.88g; was issued by king Madhyamasena during his rule in Traikutakas. Traikutakas were the dynasty of the Indian king ruled between 388 CE and 456 CE. The name ‘Traikutakas’; is derived from; the word ‘Tri’ and ‘Kuta’, meaning three-peaked mountain.The Traikutakas dynasty ruled during the 4th century CE. They dominated the region of northern Konkan and the parts of Gujarat; earlier rule by Abhirasa. We can find reference to Traikutakas in an inscription of the Vakataka ruler Harisena who ruled in the 6th century CE.
