Musk Deer on Nepal Banknotes

Nepal is a landlocked country. The boundary of the country touches Tibet of China to the north, and India in the south, east, and west, while it is narrowly separated from Bangladesh by the Siliguri Corridor, and from Bhutan by the Indian state of Sikkim. It is a multi-ethnic, multi-lingual, multi-religious and multi-cultural state. Kathmandu is the nation's capital and the largest city. Nepali is the official language. Nepal is also mentioned in Vedic literature.It is privileged to collect neighbouring’s currency. The obverse of the 1 Rupee note of Nepal depicts King Birendra portrait, Pashupatinath Temple and watermark window. The other side of the note features musk deer, Mt. AmaDablam and a coat of arms. The letterings on the banknote are ‘Musk deers, AmaDablamMountain (Khumbu Region, Himalaya)’ and a plumed crown watermark. This note is available only for hundred bucks .
