U.S President Zachary Taylor Commemorative Stamp

Zachary Taylor was a hero of the Mexican-American military war, he served the United States of America as 12 presidents from 1849 until he died in 1850. Before getting elected as president of the United States of America, he served in the U.S Army for 40 years. He served in the U.S Army for almost four decades commanding troops in the War of 1812, the Black Hawk War (1832), and the second of the Seminole Wars (1835-1842).Zachary Taylor was born on 24th November 1784 to a family of planters in Orange Country, Virginia. Later his family moved to Kentucky and got settled near modern-day Louisville. Taylor received a modest education, as no public schools existed at this time.
This commemorative stamp was issued to commemorate him and his work in the year 2009.
