Japanese invasion money of the Philippines refers to the banknotes issued during World War II by Japan for occupied countries such as Burma, Malaya, Netherlands Indies, Oceania, the Philippines On 8th December 1941 after the attack at Pearl Harbour Japan launched an invasion on the Philippines and occupied the country.During the occupation, the Japanese government-issued fiat currency (currency only backed by national law). The first issues in 1942 were of denominations of 1, 5, 10 and 50 centavos and 1, 5, and 10 Pesos.
The above banknote is a 10 Peso banknote depicting Large 'X' at left and plantation at right on the obverse and the reverse depicts an ornate rim with large 'TEN' in the centre and 'PESOS' inside of it
