Iranian Deities on Kushan King Huvishka Coins

Huvishka was the Emperor of the Kushan Empire, he sat on the throne of the Kushan Empire after Kanishka I and ruled it until the succession of Vasudeva I.
The rule of Huvishka is known as the golden age of the Kushan rule.
King Huvishka issued varieties of coins in gold and copper after sitting on the throne of the Kushan Empire. Coins issued by him are the rich source of studying Kushan’s era history, art, and religion. King Huvishka is known for including Iranian deities in his coinage. Iranian deities like Pharro, Ardoxsho, Atosho, Ahuramazda, Rishti, Asha Vahishta, Shaoreoro, can be seen on his coins.
This copper Tetradrachm that weighs around 15.4g was issued by Kushan during his rule in Kushan Empire. The obverse of this coin depicts king nimbate reclining facing on the couch, his one leg propped up on couch’. The reverse of this coin depicts ‘moon goddess ‘Mao’ standing left extending a right hand, placing the left hand on the hilt of his sword, tamgha to left.
