The park protects some of the best-preserved Ancestral Puebloan archaeological sites in the United States.

Mesa Verde National Park was established in 1906 by congress and former American President Theodore Roosevelt. This National Park protects is also known as Cliff Palace, thought to be the largest cliff dwelling in North America. This national park gives us a glimpse into the places and stories of America’s diverse cultural heritage.
