In or Out Brexit Medal for Confused Voters in U.K

2016-06-21 Tue

On 23rd June, voters would get to choose whether the U.K. would be a part of the European Union after 43 years. Brexit, is the general term for the vote which is coined from the words "British" and "exit”. In 1973, before the EU, U.K became a member of the European Economic Community.

The final decision will have major political and economic implications. Both the opponents and supporters have their say about their choices, which they would be defending. There are some unsure voters as well, for whom a coin dealer from Blackpool named Chard has developed a commemorative “flipper” medal. The company has issued the EU Referendum In or Out medals to commemorate the historic pieces that have been issued since 200 years.

Officials have stated that the medals will be issued a few months prior to the voting as the result might destabilize the British pound and there are more chances that investors might want to buy such medals. They also believe that deciding their vote by spinning their coin is much faster and better than getting influenced by anybody. The medals also pay tribute to brass imitation guinea jetons that were issued from 1790 to 1820.

The medals will be sold for £2.95 each, with special discounts for bigger orders.
