Telecommunication is a part of our day-to-day life. We have made our life depend on technologies.World Telecommunication and Information Society Day (WTISD) has been celebrated annually every 17 May since 1969 to mark the founding of ITU and the signing of the first International Telegraph Convention in 1865. The purpose of celebrating World Telecommunication and Information Day is to create awareness about the internet and other information and communication. This awareness of this day increases the awareness of the positive communication technology among people in the world.
This stamp was issued by Angola in the year 2012 to commemorate World Telecommunication and Information Society Day.
