U.S to Release its First Palladium Coins Soon
2016-06-18 Sat
The U.S. Mint is soon going to release the nation’s first palladium coins. They are surveying customer preferences and reviewing options. Apart from 1-ounce .9995 fine palladium coins struck in Proof version; half-ounce, quarter-ounce and tenth-ounce Proof versions will also be released. As per an official act, only bullion versions were supposed to be released but after a private research it was found out that selling bullion coins will not be as profitable as selling collector versions. The face value of the coins would be $25 and it's obverse would feature Adolph A. Weinman's Winged Liberty Head dime obverse design introduced in 1916. The eagle reverse design would match the reverse design of the American Institute of Architects gold award medal. Face value of the fraction proof palladium versions is yet to be decided.
The pricing would depend on fluctuations in the spot price of the metal.
