Ibrahim Shah Lodi Silver Half-Tanka Listed For INR 30,000

This silver half-tanka that weighs around 5.32g was issued by Malwa Sultan Ibrahim Shah Lodi during his rule in Bengal Sultanate. Ibrahim Shah Lodi was the last ruler of the Lodi Dynasty. He ruled this empire from 1517 CE until he being defeated and killed in the Battle of Panipat by Babur in 1526 CE.This silver half-tanka is listed for INR 30000 in an upcoming auction of Oswal Antiques that will be held in Mumbai on 26th April 2021. The obverse of this coin is inscribed as “Al-Wathiq al-Mulk al-Multaji Abu al-Fath Ibrahim Shah”. The reverse of this coin is inscribed as “ibn Sikandar Shah Lodi al-Sultan Khallada Mulkahu”.
