King Richard-I ruled England from 1189 until he died in 1199. He was one of the greatest and bravest kings in the history of England. He is well known as the Fearless king of history; he is also known as Richard Lionheart of England during his tenure as leader of the Third Crusade.King Richard-I was born on 8th September 1157 CE to Henry II of England and Eleanor of Aquitaine. King Richard-I was appointed as a commander of his army at the age of 16. He was an important commander during the Third Crusade. He led his campaign after the departure of Philip II of France and achieved victories against his Muslim counterpart, Saladin although he finalized a peace treaty and ended the campaign without retaking Jerusalem.
