Nasir al-din Nusrat Shah Gold Tanka Sold For INR 1,50,000

Nasir Al-din Nusrat Shah was the sultan of Bengal Sultanate. He ruled the Bengal Sultanate from 1519 CE until his assassination 1533 CE. Nasir Al-Din Nusrat Shah was the son of Alauddin Hussain Shah and sat on throne of Bengal Sultanate after the death of his father.After sitting on the throne of Bengal Sultanate, Nasir-Al-Din Nusrat Shah issued coins in gold and silver. After sitting on the throne of Bengal Sultanate, Nasir-Al-Din Nusrat Shah issued coin rich in high quality as those of this father. The legends on his coins are spread over both the sides. The religious expression on his coins is ‘Khallada Allah Mulkahu’ however in some coins only ‘Khallada Mulkahu’ is seen.
This gold tanka issue by Nasir Al-Din Nusrat Shah from the mint Dar Al-Darb Husainabad was sold for INR 1,50,000 in an auction of Todywalla held in Mumbai on 4th November 2017.
