Henry V is also called Henry of Monmouth; he sat on the throne of England in the year 1413 CE and ruled it until 1422 CE. Henry V was one of the most renowned kings in the history of England. He made England one of the strongest kingdoms in Europe. Henry V led two successful invasions of France cheering his outnumbered troops to victory at the 1415 Battle of Agincourt and eventually securing full control of the French throne. Henry V was immortalized in Shakespeare’s “Henriad” plays; Henry is known and celebrated as one of the greatest warrior kings of medieval EnglandThe commemorative stamp was issued by the United Kingdom to commemorate him in the year 2008.
