Louisa May Alcott was an American novelist, short story writer, she is best known as an author for her novel Little Women, and its sequels Little Men and Jo’s Boys.Louisa May Alcott started working at an early age as her family was suffering from some financial difficulties. While working, she started writing and she received critical success for her writing in 1860. Her writing style put a great impact on American Literature as her writing introduce readers to educated strong heroines.
Louisa May Alcott worked and remained active in the reform movement as temperance and women's suffrage, so she was an abolitionist and a feminist and remained unmarried throughout her life. She died from a stroke, two days after her father died, in Boston on March 6, 1888.
