Gujarat High Court Postage Stamp

Latest in Indian Philately is the commemorative stamp issued to mark the 60th Anniversary – the Diamond Jubilee of the Gujarat High Court. The high court was established on 1 May 1960 under the Bombay Re-organisation Act, 1960 after the state of Gujarat split from Bombay State.The stamp comes with the denomination of Rs.5 and in shape in the octagon. The stamp depicts the front entrance of the high court which is topped with the balance of justice. The outer border is inscribed with the name of the country, an occasion for release, the subject matter of the stamp and the years 1960-2020.
The stamp was released by PM Narendra Modi via video conference from Delhi where he praised the work of the Gujarat High Court.
