4th February mark the centenary of Chauri Chaura event to mark its event Prime Minister Narendra Modi released a commemorative stamp today. This stamp is dedicated to mark the beginning of centenary celebration of Chauri Chaura.

According to PM ‘incident of Chauri Chaura was not limited to police station set on fire. The message of the incident was huge. Due to various reasons, it was treated as a minor incident but we should see it in context. The fire was not just in the station but in heart of people’.

The stamp depicts the monument of the Chauri Chura incident with date and denomination. The legend ‘ Chauri Chaura centenary celebration’ at bottom with My Stamp printed on left.

This event was celebrated through the state of Utter Pradesh in all its 75 districts.
