Dwight D. Eisenhower was the American politician and soldier and 34th president of the United States of America from 1953 to 1961. He served the United States of America for two terms before retiring to Gettysburg in 1961. He had also served the United States of America as a supreme commander of Allied forces in Western Europe during World War II; Dwight D. Eisenhower had led a massive invasion on Nazi-occupied Europe that began on D-Day (June 6, 1944).During World War II, he became a five-star general in the Army and served as Supreme Commander of the Allied Expeditionary Force in Europe. He was also responsible for planning and supervision in the invasion of North Africa in Operation Torch. He was one of the most presidents in the history of the United States of America.
