This silver Tanka was issued by Bengal Sultanate which was the part of Delhi Sultanate. This coin was sold for INR 1,10,000.The Sultanate of Bengal was conquered by Muhammad bin Sam on his conquest of north Indian to the delta of Ganga and Brahmaputra. The coin issued by Bengal Sultanate and was issued under the authority of the Delhi Sultanate. The long-distance from the capital made the administration of this region difficult, due to which the administrators or governors Bengal where periodically exercised their freedom.
This above-shown coin was issued in the name of Emperor Iltutmish. The obverse of this coin depicts a horseman or King facing left holding a mace within a circle and around it Kalima, mint name and date is inscribed.
