Guernsey Post introduced a set of six stamps to celebrate the year of the OX; the eight set in its s Chinese New Year Series which beings on 12 February 2021. For this Issue artist Chrisy lSAu has taken inspiration from the pattern Found on Feng Shui ornaments an in China it is common practice to display Feng Shui animal ornaments depicting coins and gold to attract good fortune. Decoration associated with Chinese New year including oranges, lanterns and Chinese red packets also features on stamp designs whilst the Chinese symbol for ox appears on the top left of each stamp. The use of red symbolizes good fortunes and joy. On the fortune charms stamp, the ox carries a popular Chinese New Year decoration of Chinese coin around its body. It displays to attract wealth and good fortune. The golden Dreams ox is seen nurturing her young calf. On treasure Celebrations and ox wear his clock of fortune.
