Gita Jayanti is observed in the Shukla Ekadashi of Margashirsha month in the Hindu calendar. Gita Jayanti holds an important significance and is considered as one of the most important days in Hinduism.Simply known as the Gita, the Bhagavad Gita is considered to be the most important Sanskrit text in the history of literature and philosophy and is a part of the ancient epic, Mahabharata. The content of the Gita is the conversation between Lord Krishna and Arjuna on the battlefield before the beginning of the Kurukshetra War.
The Gita elaborates on different Yogic and Vedanta philosophies and is a beautiful metaphorical work which narrates the way of living life.
