Copper Drachm of Indo-Scythians ruler Zeionise

Zeioneses was an Indo-Scythian ruler; he ruled the part of the Indian subcontinent around 10 BCE – 10 CE. Later, he lost his territory after the invasion of the Indo-Parthians.The Indo-Scythian was the nomadic people; they were the people who migrated from Central Asia and later made their way into Bactria in the second century BCE. This was the group of Iranian people of Saka and was of Scythian origin.
After sitting on the throne of Indo-Scythian, Zeionises issued coins in silver and copper. This copper Drachm that weighs around 8.64g was issued by Zeionises during his rule in Indo-Scythian. The obverse of this coin depicts ‘Humped bull walking to the right, Triratna symbol above with corrupt Greek legend around. The reverse of this coin depicts ‘lion walking to the right monogram above and the Kharoshthi legend around.
