Jane Austen was an English novelist; known for her six major novels rich in comedy, romance, wit, and satire. Her novels are the pin-sharp reflections of her social and geographical milieu, in and around Hampshire, Bath, and Dorset.Jane Austen was born on 16 December 1775 in the village of Steventon in Hampshire. She grew up in a happy and close-knit family, and the careers and families of her brothers. She began to write in her teenage; her collection includes dramatic sketches, spoofs, and poems. Jane's brother Henry helped her negotiate with a publisher, and her first novel, 'Sense and Sensibility' appeared in 1811.
From 1811 to 1816, she released four novels, Sense and Sensibility (1811), Pride and Prejudice (1813), Mansfield Park (1814), and Emma (1815). The additional two novels Northanger Abbey and Persuasion were both published posthumously in 1818. She also began to write her third novel but eventually died before completing it.
