The reign of Queen Victoria is considered the second-longest reign of any British monarch. Queen Victoria was the queen of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland from 1837 CE until she died in 1901 CE. After Queen Elizabeth II, she became Empress of India in the year 1877 CE. During her reign, British Industrialisation, British technologies, and engineering discoveries were at their peak.This 10 Rupees, gold proof strike coin, was issued by Queen Victoria during her reign in the year 1870 CE from Calcutta mint. This 10 Rupee coin is listed for INR 6,00,000 in an upcoming auction of Todywalla that will be held in Mumbai on 13th December 2020. The obverse of this coin depicts the bust of Queen Victoria facing towards the right with the divided legend ‘VICTORIA QUEEN’. The reverse of this coin is inscribed as ‘TEN RUPEES INDIA 1870’.
