On the occasion of the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, India Post released a set of four commemorative stamps along with a miniature sheet which depicts the messages given by Bapu to the society. The stamps come with the denominations of five rupees, 15 rupees and 25 rupees stamps with the valuable teachings given by him.

The two five rupees stamps depict Bapu walking and planting a Tulsi plant. The messages given here are Health and nature care along with the conservation of ecology and environment. The 15 Rupees stamp depicts Gandhi working on Charkha along with a lady on a hand spinner. The stamp promotes Self Reliance by promoting the Swadesi.

The 25 rupees stamp depicts Bapu and a young man teaching a child about pottery. The stamp features a new kind of education which enables students to learn new things which are out of syllabus and will help them to be self-reliant.
