Sikandar Shah Suri was the ruler of the Sur dynasty, the dynasty that had ruled the northern part of the Indian subcontinent for nearly 16 years. Sikandar Shah Suri was the 6th ruler of the Sur dynasty. He sat on the throne of the Sur Dynasty in the year 1555 CE after throwing Ibrahim Shah Suri. The real name of Sikandar Shah Suri was Ahmad Khan Suri, and he took the name Sikandar Shah Suri after sitting on the throne.After sitting on the throne of the Sur Dynasty; Sikandar Shah Suri issued coins of three metals namely silver, billion, and copper. This copper paisa was issued by Sikandar Shah Suri during his rule in the Sur Dynasty in the Hijri year 962. The obverse of this coin is inscribed as ‘Al-Mutawakkil Ala Allah Sikandar Shahi Sultan Shahi’. The reverse of the coin is inscribed as ‘Fi-Ahad Amir Al-Muminin Khallada Khilafatahu’.
