Ghazi-ud-Din Haider was the last ruler of Princely State Awadh. He ruled Awadh as nawab wazir of Awadh from 11th July 1814 CE and ruled it until 19th October 1818 CE. He was the first king of Awadh, he sat on the throne of Awadh from 19 October 1818 and ruled it until 19 October 1827. Ghazi-ud-din Haider was the third son of Nawab Saadat Ali Khan and Mushir Zadi.After sitting on the throne of Awadh he issued a coin in his name instead of Mughal Emperor Shah Alam II. All the coin issued by him is different from his predecessors. one of the most important features of his coinage was the Coat of Arms that depicts on the reverse side of his coins, the coat of arms consists of fish facing each other, two tigers holding pennon for support and Katar (a small dagger) surmounted by a crown symbolizing the king.
