In the year 2010, the United States of America started issuing the quarter dollar that depicts the national parks and other national sites of the United States. They issued all these coins as a part of the United States Mint America the Beautiful Quarters Program.In this America the Beautiful Quarters Program; America had captured the beauty of the United States that has inspired countless poets, adventurers, and artists. Today all these national sites and national parks are protected and are enshrined through the U.S. Mint America the Beautiful Quarters Program.
This quarter dollar was issued by the United States of America in the year 2011. This quarter dollar was the third released in this year and the eighth overall in the America the Beautiful Quarters Program. The obverse of this coin has a portrait of George Washington (the first president of the United States of America from 1789 to 1797) facing towards left. The reverse of the coin depicts Roosevelt elk standing gravel river bar of the Hoh River with a view of Mount Olympus in the background.
