The Vaghela/Waghela/Baghela was a short-lived dynasty that had ruled the region of Dholka, the capital of the Indian state of Gujarat during the 13th century CE. They were the last Hindu monarch to Indian parts of Gujarat.The ancestors of Waghelas had served the Chalukyas dynasty during the 12th century CE, they claim to be a branch of the Waghelas dynasty. During the 13th century, the general of the Waghelas dynasty Lavanaprasada and his son Viradhavala took advantage of the weakness of Chalukyas king Bhima II and became powerful. Although they continued to nominally acknowledge the Chaulukya suzerainty. In the year 1240 CE Waghele king Viradhavala's son Visaladeva sat on the throne. His successors ruled Gujarat until Karna was defeated by Alauddin Khalji of Delhi Sultanate in 1304 CE.
