Silver Rupee of Durrani Kingdom Taimur Shah

Taimur Shah Durrani was the second ruler of the Durrani Empire; he sat on the throne of the Durrani Empire after succeeding his father Ahmed Shah Durrani in the year 1772 CE and ruled it till 1739 CE.Taimur Shah completed his education in the home and received training warfare from his father on many of his expeditions. He got married to the daughter of Mughal Emperor Alamgir II and then quickly rose to the power. After getting married to the daughter of Alamgir II he received the city of Sirhind as a wedding gift and later he also made the governor of Punjab, Kashmir, and the Sirhind district in the year 1757.
This silver rupee was issued by Taimur Shah during his rule in the Durrani Empire. The weight of this silver rupee is around 11g. The obverse of this coin is inscribed with the name and title of Taimur Shah and the Hijri year 1204. The reverse of this silver rupee is inscribed with the mint name Kashmir and regnal year 16.
