Silver Denarius of Roman Emperor Maximinus I

Maximinus-I was the Roman Emperor, he ruled the Roman Empire from 235 to 238. It is said that Maximinus-I was the first soldier who rose through the rank became Roman Emperor. His reign marked the beginning of a half-century of civil war in the empire. Maximinus-I was from Thrace, it is said that before entering into the army he was a shepherd. Due to his impressive size and strength, he attracted the attention of the Roman emperor in 202 CE.This silver Denarius that weighs around 3.63g was issued by him during his rule in the Roman Empire. The obverse of this coin depicts the bust of the king facing towards the right. The reverse of this coin depicts standing god facing towards left with branch & scepter.
