Liechtenstein Post introduced special stamp to celebrate year of the Ox. The stamp depicts the coming year of the Ox. The Chinese New year is celebrated on the first new moon between 21st Januarary and 21st February and it is the most important Chinese holiday.The stamp is designed in the form of a filigree silhouette and produce using state-of-the-art-laser technology. The issue is created by Stefan Erne.
In the Chinese culture the ox is a valued animal because of its role in agriculture. It has positive character of being hardworking and honest.
