The American Silver Eagle coins are the official silver bullion coins of the United States of America. This coin was the first release on 24th November 1986. Struck only in one-troy ounce with the face value of one dollar, is made with 99.9% pure silver. The silver eagle coins are minted at three mints the Philadelphia Mint, the San Francisco Mint, and the West Point Mint.The obverse of these coins depicts the walking liberty, designed by Adolph A. Weinman. This design was originally used on the Walking Liberty Half Dollar coin of the United States from 1916 to 1947. The obverse side of these coins inscribed with minting or issuance, the word LIBERTY, and the phrase IN GOD WE TRUST.
The reverse side of this coin is designed by John Mercanti, the reverse side is a portrait with a heraldic eagle behind a shield. John Mercanti and portrays a heraldic eagle behind a shield; the eagle grasps an olive branch in its right talon and arrows in its left talon, echoing the Great Seal of the United States of America. Five-pointed stars are placed above the eagle, this five-pointed star represents Thirteen Colonies.
