This gold mohur issued by Queen Victoria during her reign is listed for INR 5,00,000 is an upcoming electronic auction of Todywalla that will be held on 13th September 2020.Victoria was queen of United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland. She ruled from 20th June 1837 until her death. She adopted the additional title of Empress of India on 1 May 1876 and her era is known as the Victorian era. She ruled for almost 63 years and it is consider as longer than that of any of her predecessors. Her era is marked as industrial, cultural, political, scientific, and military change within the United Kingdom, and was marked by a great expansion of the British Empire.
The coin depicts the bust of Victoria facing right with ‘Queen Victoria’ facing towards right with the divided legend ‘VICTORIA QUEEN’ written on both the sides of the coin. The reverse side of the coin is inscribed as ‘ONE MOHUR INDIA 1870’.
