This silver rupee issued by George V in the year 1935 is listed for INR 5,25,000 in an upcoming electronic auction of Todywalla that will be held on 13th September 2020.George V was the king of the United Kingdom and the British Dominions and Emperor of India. He sat on the throne on 6th May 1910 and ruled it until his death till 1936.
The obverse side of this coin depicts the portrait of King George V facing felt wearing a royal robe and crown with the legend ‘GEORGE V KING EMPEROR’ within the toothed rim. The reverse of this coin depicts the denomination value with ‘INDIA’ and date 1935 with the dotted circle and floral design featured around it within the toothed rim.
