Princely State Indore Silver Mudra Sold For INR 2,30,000

This silver Mudra issued by TukojiRao II from Princely State Indore is sold for INR 2,30,000 in an auction of Todywalla that was held in Mumbai on 30th August 2020.Indore was a Princely State during the British rule in India. Indore is also known as Holkar State as it was a Maratha Princely State during British rule in India. The rulers of this Princely States were from the Holkar Dynasty.
The obverse of this coin is inscribed with the bust of the sun in the center with Devanagari legend ‘Sri ShankaranucharyaAhlyaJayati’. The reverse of the coin is inscribed as 'Mudra' written in the center and Devanagari legend ‘HolakaravaturKaushakapurasha 1780’ around.
