Reign of the second Abbasid Claiph- Al-Mansur

Al- Masur was the second Caliph of the Abbasid Dynasty reigning from 754 to 775 AD. Regarded as the real founder of the Abbasid Caliphate, Al Mansur established the capital city at Baghdad.He is also known for founding the round city of Madinat Salam which was to become the core of imperial Baghdad. He was the brother of Al Saffah (first Caliph of Abbasid dynasty) and the father of next ruler Al-Mahdi.
During the reign, he issued gold Dinar and silver Dirham. These coins were issued from various mints such as Madinat Salam (Baghdad), Al Abbasiya, Al Hashimiya, Arminiya, Arran, Ifriqiya, Istakhr, and Junday Sabur.
The serrated edge, resembling "bottlecap" coins of Abu Ja'far 'Abd Allah Al-Mansur issued from Madinat Al-Salam (Baghdad) in 157 AH. This Bronze Fals illustrates the word “Adl” (Justice) in the lower reverse filed.
