Two Taka of Bangladesh

Two Taka was issued in 1988 by the Bank People Republic of Bangladesh, it is printed in Gray-green ink on orange and green underprint. It is a regular issued with dimension 100X60mm.The obverse of this note illustrates the legend ‘People’s Republic of Bangladesh’ in Bengali script at the top left with prefix and serial number at top right. The Sun behind Shahid’s Minar of the Martyr’s language monument is depicted at right and signatory at left. The numerical denomination in Bengali script is seen at the bottom left and in English at the top right corners.
The reverse of this note depicts the legend ‘People’s Republic of Bangladesh’ in Bengali script at the top centre, National bird - Doyel (Dayal), or Magpie-robin at the left with his name and identity written below and Coat of arms at the bottom left the corner. The numerical denomination in Bengali script is seen at the top left and in English at the bottom right corners.
