Nasir Al-Din Mahmud was the Sultan of Bengal; He was the descendant of ShamsuddinIlyas Shah. Nasir Al-Din Mahmud sat on the throne of Bengal Sultanate in the year 1435 CE and ruled it till 1459CE.After sitting on the throne of Bengal Sultanate Nasir Al-Din Mahmud I issued coins in various types and varieties. Most of the coins issued by him as normal inscription but his coins also have images with some numbers.
This silver tanka which weighs around 10.7g was issued by Nasir Al-Din Mahmud from the mint Dar ulDarb during his rule in Bengal Sultanate.
