Silver Nazarana Rupee of Ranbir Singh Listed for INR 50,000

This silver Nazarana Rupee was issued by Raja Ranbir Singh during his rule in Princely State Jind. Jind was a Princely State during the British rule in India. It was founded by Raja Gajpat Singh in 1763. The rulers of this state belong to the Phulkian dynasty. It was ruled by the Scindia dynasty of the Maratha Empire and was paid tribute to Maratha. In the Second Anglo Maratha War, Marathas were defeated and so Jind state became a British protectorate.The weight of this silver Nazarana Rupee is around 11.8g. It was issued by Raja Ranbir Singh to commemorate his 50th anniversary. Ranbir Singh was Maharaja of Jind state from1887 AD to 1948.
This silver Nazarna Rupee is listed for INR 50,000 in the upcoming auction of Todywalla that will be held in Mumbai on 30th August 2020.
