Silver Rupee of Hafiz Rehmat Khan

Hafiz Rehmat Khan was the regent of Rohilkhand in North India from 1749CE to 1774CE. Hafiz Rehmat Khan served the three reigns of Mughal Emperors namely Ahmad Shah Bahadur, Alamgir II, and Shah Alam II. He had also served as a mentor of Prince MirzaJawanBakht.This silver rupee is issued by Hafiz Rehmat Khan during his rule in Rohilakhand. Its silver rupee minted in Bareli in the name of Mughal Emperor Alamgir II. The obverse of this coin is inscribed with the name and title of Mughal Emperor Alamgir II. The reverse of this coin is inscribed with the mint name.
