World Nature Conservation Day 2020

Today is World Conservation Day! Observed each year on July 28th, World Conservation Day is celebrated internationally to increase awareness about the best practices to protect our natural resources. World Nature Conservation Day recognizes that a healthy environment is a foundation for a stable and productive society and to ensure the well-being of present and future generations.Nature worship is indeed an integral part of the Indian Culture. On the occasion of World, Nature Conservation Day let’s get acquainted with a new set of stamps issued by India Post in March 2020. India now has 38 World Heritage Sites, which makes India the country with the sixth-largest number of World Heritage Sites in the world.
This is the second in a series and concentrates on natural sites and depicts wildlife found in those sites. They feature Nanda Devi and Valley of Flowers National Parks, Western Ghats, Manas Wildlife Sanctuary, Great Himalayan National Park on the stamps denominated wither Rs.5, or Rs. 12.
