Royal Mint's James Bond Coins 2020

Royal Mint celebrates 25 years of James bond with new special edition Silver and Gold coins with interconnecting designs.

The first official James Bond film, Dr. No, was brought to cinemas in 1962 by producers Albert R Broccoli and Harry Saltzman. Nearly 60 years later, the 25th official film in the series, No Time to Die, will be released globally soon this year.

The 007 Collection features coins with different designs: The first coin from the series features the Aston Martin DB5. Two other coins feature the submarine Lotus Esprit from The Spy Who Loved Me and James Bond's iconic dinner jacket and bow tie.

The coins are available in different sizes gold, silver, and cupronickel. Prices come differently with different metals. The cupro-nickel coins are GBP 5 each. The Half-Ounce Silver Proof ones are 1 GBP each and the Two-Ounce Gold Proof Coins are worth GBP 200 each.

The Gold coins are inscribed with the titles of the first 25 James Bond films within the micro-text which is included within the 007 motifs. The reverse features the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II along with issuing year and the denomination.
