George Washington Bicentennial Quarter Dollars

George Washington was the first president of the United States of America and one of the key figures in creating the history of the United States of America. He had also served his country as commander of the Continental Army, president of Constitutional Convention and gentleman planter. In the American Revolutionary War, he commanded Patriot forces to victory against the British and their allies. He presided over the Constitutional Convention of 1787 which established the new federal government, and he has been called the "Father of His Country".

The United States of America had issued this commemorative quarter dollar with the theme of George Washington in the year 1975. This coin was issued by the United States of America to commemorate the 200th anniversary of Independence of the United States of America. This coin was minted in the year 1975 and 1976; it also carries dual date 1776-1976.

The obverse of this coin depicts the bust of George Washington and the reverse of this coin depicts Colonial drummer facing left and a victory torch encircled by thirteen stars at the upper left.
